I know it's an automatic and the Optispark sucks but you can bask in the american V8 glory rumble. Compare to the crack pipe pricing 15 year old miatas and high mileage cooper s, the corvette is more bang for your buck. I'm still on the hunt for the mythical less than $2500 miata.

opti is vented on the 94 so no problem, just don't clean up your engine with a water hose and you are good to go... Automatic though... Not touching that...

Anyway, changing an opti is very easy and take about 4h...

They suck ass in everything. We have had 5 different vehicles with the 4L60/700R4 and they all had to be rebuilt before 100k miles.

They are shit. And that is in no way a Toyota bias, I miss my screaming 4.2 straight 6, but I wouldn't touch one with a stock trans.

700R4 are weak and you're right that they need a new rebuild every 80 to 100k miles. The "upgraded" rebuild kit doesn't do anything.
